Christmas

Christmas break was a lot of fun! It was a very long trip, but we really did enjoy it. I worried at first, because it was a 2 week trip, with how Jace was going to do. But he did great!! He was amazing during our ten hour drive and he did really well on the plane. I was so pleased. So our trip started out driving down to New Mexico a few days before Christmas to spend some time with Joe's family. It was a lot of fun and it was really neat to see Joe's parents new house. It's gorgeous! So there we had a Christmas night with his family. Then the day before Christmas Eve we flew over to Phoenix and spent Christmas with my family. It was so fun to watch Jace with all his cousins. We hardly had to take care of him because someone was always keeping him entertained. It was really nice. So overall it was a GREAT Christmas. Actually one of the best. It was so fun having Jace this year. It was fun shopping for him and putting together a stocking. Being Santa was a lot of fun :)

Am I Lazy?

Am I lazy when at the end of a long day I don't want to make dinner? and then I dont... I just stare at the fridge and freezer hoping something will magically appear all made?? And then I see dishes like these on TV or online and wish it was right before me...

Trick or Treat!

Here is our little mouse. Also sorry for the many pictures, but they are mostly for the relatives who have been wanting to see him in his costume. :)

His little tail, which we lost by the end of the night.

Special Outfit

This is what happends when dad is busy with midterms and gets asked to go change his son's messy pants. He comes out with Fuzzy blue pants (too big) with a brown long john shirt (also a little big). :) I then asked Joe "Really? Do you think that matches?" His response, "No but I got to study."

4 Months!

Jace as of yesterday turned 4 months old! He is getting big soo fast! I know a lot of people say that but time really is flying by! For you pregnant women it's good to know time doesn't drag on anymore once their here :), but it is sad and happy to see them change and grow. So I have seen a lot of you moms do this thing where you list everything that your child is doing now and I like it so I'm going to start doing it too!
At four months Jace...
-Loves to Talk. He talks sooo much now! It is so funny to listen to all the different sounds that he makes, with all the different emotions and faces.
-He also is kind of doing this singing type talking and talks while he wines a little. It's too cute.
-He is laughing more and more. However his laugh right now consists more of low one chuckle type laugh.
- He is getting better at holding and playing with toys, however he still drops them a lot. It's better if they are lighter.
-He is also Rolling over! From stomache to back! He rolls both ways! haha
-He mostly loves to play with his blanket or burp cloth or plastic sack because they are easy to hold onto and maunuver
-He likes to have someone help him stand more than he likes to sit or lay down now. Even though he still wiggles his hips because he isn't quite stable.
-He definitely knows who mom and dad are. You can see his excitement in his recognition of us (Especially mom haha).
-He is disliking being cuddled more and more. He only lets me cuddle him now when he's very sleepy.
-He is also doing a lot of random screeching/screams like he is discovering he can do it. He did it all through church on sunday. We had to keep taking him out. I hope it is only a short fase...
-He is discovering/looking at parts of his body like his hands, feet and knees.
-He loves to suck on his hand now more than his binky.
--He loves being kissed and tickled on his neck. He always smiles or gives one of his chuckles.

I am loving being his mom. It is the most exhausting/joyful thing I have ever done! I truly cannot express or explain what it is like. The emotions range so different from moment to moment. But mostly he is my sunshine! I love waking up to find my Jace so happy to see me in the morning. He really can brighten my day just with one of his little smiles or sweet sounds. I wouldn't trade being his mom for anything :)
