We went camping with a few friends. It was so much fun and very wet. Jace didn't do as well this time though. He wasn't a huge fan of the rain and wetness. It was funny because when he woke up that morning he was devastated to find that we were still in a tent and still camping. When we got home he kept giving us hugs and clapping. haha. But he did have some good moments, and those are the ones that I caught on camera.
Joe and I really enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed getting to know everyone better and probably everyone else got to know us a little too well. haha. Thanks all for the fun!

Great Husband

So lately I have been feeling like I have been joking around alot about my husband's little quirks and the funny things he's done or does. Which is all fine and good. And he really doesn't mind. I think he kind of likes that I think he does funny things. It's just part of our relationship. However, I realised that I don't often tell people the great things about my husband too. So this is more for me than anyone else, cause I do love my man.
He is always encouraging me and lifting me up.
He tells me I'm beautiful everyday. Which I often take for grantite.
He is smart
He is funny
He works so hard to provide for our family and does a great job
He is handsom and tall (not too tall) :)
He is great with Jace and helps out a lot with him
He is always trying to please me
He never tells me what I could change and do better. Even though he totally could cause there are many things I could do better.
He is a great example to me of always wanting to be a better person, and really striving to be. He makes me want to be better.
He is my best friend.
I love you babe. Thanks for letting me tease you a little bit, but now everyone can know your great qualities too :)

11 Months Old
What's new:
He is doing naps a lot better now
He is saying daddy, Baby and sometimes other words like grandpa and ball.
He is no longer nursing, and soon will not need formula anymore. Wahoo!
He's a really good eater. He will eat almost anything we give him. Spicy or Sour, it doesn't matter. (except for cooked carrots, they make him gag)
He is walking if he can hold one of our hands. And has walked across our living room on his own a few times.
He also likes doing what mom doesn't want him to. If we're outside on the playground he'll choose a different slide than I suggest to go down. Or if I say come here a lot of times he won't, which he used to.
He's a little explorer and has tried to escape the playground several times.
He's recognizing people more and more.
He loves pushing cars and other things with wheels around.
He's becoming defined as a boy more and more.
He loves taking things in and out of places.
And his mom is still his favorite (For now) :)
And he gives really good hugs (Especially right before bed)
And his mom can't believe he'll be one next month. . . :S Mixed emotions.
Love you Jace Boy!

I look up to...
So I've been thinking a lot about people I truly look up to and want to end up like. And I definitely think it has changed through the years. In middle school, it was the kids in high school, in high school it was those in college, in college it was those who were married. And now that I'm married and have a kid I've been kind of confused on who I really look up to and want to be like. Part of me wanted to go back and be that fit high school girl I used to be (without post pregnancy stretch marks), or like those ideal wives and families you see on TV. But it just wasn't a fulfilling want and it has just wore me out and depressed me.
BUT lately I think I have finally found others to really look up to and it has been so relieving to let go of the ideal worldly way I have been wanting to be. Now I want to be like those people who have really sacrificed their life in service and in selflessness.
So I look up to anyone who is striving to do their best in hard circumstances. I look up to my parents cause I know what they have gone through in their lives to get where they are. And I particularly look up to the Elderly. Think about it! THEY HAVE MADE IT! President Hinckley and His Wife. They deserve a round of applause. So in conclusion, I want to be like those who are living and have lived an honorable life. They are the real idols.
