We got it!

So the past 2 months or so Jace has been more active. Climbing on everything, including the table, the couch, a shelf, balancing on our bench. So I finally started making forts, creations, whatever you want to call them for him to play on, go through and under. But it wasn't keeping him off the things that I didn't want him to climb on, and he wasn't getting out his energy. So... We finally started taking him to this one park about a mile and a half away as often as we could. Which helped with letting his energy out. THEN the cold hits! And Jace can't stand to be outside longer than 15 mins which wasn't long enough to get his energy out. So we finally caved and got him this!

We decided it would be his main christmas present that came early. I did my research and it is the perfect fit. It fits in our house and Jace loves it! He climbs on it and under it. The slide is just long enough to be fun but not too long, it's sturdy. Perfect!! AND it gets his energy out! At least so far. We have only had it for a day and a half.

So this is Jace before. . (my beautiful creations I made for him)

And this is Jace After

He also enjoyed the box, almost as much as the climber.

Elmo says Trick or Treat

So Jace LOVES elmo. One of his first words was "melmo" So we decided if he had a choice that's what he would want to be. So here he is, our little elmo. When I put the costume on him for the first time he just laughed and kept pointing to himself saying, "Melmo! Melmo!" So funny.

They had this thing where you could go down main street and do trick or treating from all the business's. Our neighbors invited us to go. So this is Jace and Corben in the wagon after getting their treats.

The ward Trunk or Treat. (me and my boy)

My sister came with us. She wanted to see jace in his costume.

They were doing that game where you try to eat the donut off the string with your mouth. Well Jace just grabbed at it and ate it. Haha. Probably more efficient anyway.

Fishing at the fish pond.

Joe was one of the judges for the pumpkin carving contest.

Jace and Daddy ready to go around and get candy. They had to do it inside because it was raining.
There they go. And he actually did say "trick- treat" I didn't think he would.

And afterwards we came home and watched the Charlie Brown Holloween movie "the great pumpkin" It was perfect length for jace to go to bed in time and he loved it. He actually sat and watched the whole thing. Which doesn't usually happen with movies.
It really was a Happy and Fun Halloween. We all really enoyed it this year, especially Jace (even though he's not smiling in any of the pictures. haha )

Pumpkin Patch

Tonight for family home evening. . . We went to a pumpkin patch! To choose out some pumpkins. It was so much fun and they had more than pumpkins. We didn't realize this til we got there.

They had animals. Yes, that is a Kangaroo.

Choosing a pumpkin

Running through the pumkin patch

Joe with our pumpkins. Love him :)

Jace and daddy in the Kids Maze. He loved this maze! Really didnt ever want to come out even when he found the exit. He'd just keep running through.

Corn Seed play pit! How cool is that! You would sink when you stepped on it. Some kids would sink their feet in deep.

Carving out the pumpkin!

Messy boy

The final product!
Joe's definitely wins. But I dont know, I guess you can decide.
(Yeah he wins)

So much fun!! One of the funnest evenings we had out in a while! We loved it.

Sum it up Summer time

Here is a quick sum up of the rest of our summer.

Our new neighbors upstairs had us over for family home evening and the kids played with this awesome bubble maker machine they had.

We had a family reunion/celebrated my Aunt Carrie's 50th birthday. To celebrate a luau was put on.

Aunt Carrie doing some Hawaiian dancing.
Jace's new found Boy Cousin Asher. They are surrounded by girls in the family. So they had fun seeing each other.

My cousin James doing a native american hoop dance for our family talent show. He learned the dance from living legends the year we were on it. He's on it again this year. So anybody who wants to see a good show should go see it. I'm serious. It's good!

My Aunt Carrie's boys doing a sing and dance number for her to "You Are My Sunshine." So funny and cute.

The Fall Crop together again for the first time in 3 years. My grandma called us the Fall Crop because we were all born in the fall. The first four of us on the couch were born within 6 weeks of each other.

Then we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary on the 17th of Aug. We went out to eat at Zuppas and saw a movie.

Then we went back to the place Joe proposed. It is now a construction sight. Haha. So we didn't really get a good picture and we had to sneak on to the property. Joe helped me hop the fance.

Next to the spot where he proposed. Where joe is standing is more where he proposed but like I said it's all dirt and bull dosers right now.

Joe Reinacting his proposal. Haha

Then I wanted to go see where we used to live when we met. Just in case they decide to knock it down someday because it is pretty old. I got picture of both our doors but Joe didn't want to stand next to his.

Lastly, last week we took Joe's little brother Ryan to the MTC. He will be serving in the Lima Peru mission. He was pretty nervous and excited

The family that was there when we dropped him off.

It was a fun summer! Hope fall brings more fun! Actually it already has. I need to post what we've done.

Lagoon

A couple of weeks ago we went to Lagoon with some of my family. It was a lot of fun as always. I have basically gone every summer since I was six, with a few summers skipped. I love this place. This year was Jace's first time riding rides. We went last year when he was 2 months old. I think he really enjoyed riding them for the most part. I probably enjoyed watching him and taking pictures more than he did riding them. The pictures are all of Jace, I didn't get a group shot or even a Joe and I shot. Which also, Joe went on more rides this year! Yeah Joe! and I went on less. . . I must be getting old :) I'm proud of joe because he is overcoming his rollercoaster fears. I love it. It's fun having him as my riding partner :)

Jace's riding partner was his cousin Siah. Them on the little boats. I think this one and the merry go round was his favorite.

Helicopter ride. He gave Siah this look a lot. Wonder what he was thinking? Cute.

Them driving away in the little adventure car

You can tell he was ready for break by this point :)

Us on the Merry go Round and his last ride. I'm pretty sure Lagoon was his favorite place. As you can see on his face. haha. Im sure he'll grow to love it more as the rest of us have. :P Yay Lagoon!

Ward Talent Show, Featuring Joe :)

Joe singing at the ward talent show. I got this from a girl in my ward who decided she wanted to record it after he started singing. I've been meaning to post it but wasn't able to. You'll probably have to turn up your volume all the way to hear him.

Let me know if it still doesn't work.
