8 months

I did a little photo shoot of her this time.
Things that are new with Cienna. Not too much.

She's getting more particular about things, she knows what she wants when she wants it.
She's not as easily distracted either.
And her first tooth has cut through.
My favorite thing lately is to watch her and Jace sit on the floor sharing cheerios. Jace will take a handful then carefully feed one to cienna, and as she gums that one down, Jace takes another handful and the process repeats. I love it. I hope they have a good relationship through out the years. I love my babies. I'm a lucky mom. I'm a lucky mom.

Cienna 7 Months

So I have been a slacker on these updates with Cienna, but here is one now.
It has been so fun to see her personality come out. She is a total sweetheart with spunk. I love it. She is also a very easy baby, very content to watch what's going on and rarely cries hard, but gives a little fuss when she needs something.Things little miss Cienna is up to:

She loves to eat and is now EATING FROM A BOTTLE!! Yay! She decided it's not so bad, as long as it is made just right and with the right bottle. It's so nice to have some freedom.

She also is eating cereal, baby food, those little puffs and cheerios

She is a sitter with the occasional toppling over to reach for a toy.

She rolls all over the place. When she wants to get somewhere or get something she rolls to get there.

She likes to babble and talk, and occasionally lets us know when she has been ignored more than she allows with a short screech.

She still has all gums. But she has been really fussy at night and wanting to really chew on things so I wonder if some teethers are coming in.

She is on the smaller size for her age, but normal because she was born a month early.

And my favorite: when she is exciting to see you, she will reach for you, grab your face and give you baby kisses.

We love our little sunshine. It's so much fun having a baby girl! She lights up our home.

Photography

So I have been having blast, as photography has become weekly part of my life lately. I started a blog because I have been taking people's pictures around my community. I did a bridal shoot yesterday and am taking their wedding pictures next week. I absolutely love it! If you wanna see what I have finished go to sarahdawnphotos.com

One big slacker post

Sledding
We went sledding in the beginning of January and Jace LOVED it. I wasn't sure how he was gonna do because we went last year and he wasn't such a huge fan, he only went a couple of times. But this year he went down by himself, crashed, laughed and loved it. He didn't want to go home. And he asked to go again the whole next 2 weeks. And he still asks occasionally, we just need another good snow!

Cienna was our observer and quite the content one she was. Joe and I took turns holding her, while the other went sledding.

Potty Training
So about a little over a month ago jace started showing interest in wanting to learn how to use the potty. So we did a good 3 week session of potty training. And he did really well! And then the last week started having lots of accidents. I think he just got tired of the process and having to think about it and wanted a break. Which by then I was tired too, doing the reminding and the cleaning. So it's been a good break for both of us. He has started talking about it a little bit more again so we might start again here sometime. We'll see. I'm not one to push it (at least until he gets closer to preschool age), and Jace is one to be pushed. He gets that from his dad :) It has to do things on his own time and in his own way. Or maybe it's just a boy thing? Who knows.

Here he is with his thomas underwear, his thomas potty charts and his "potty bag." Every time he went potty he got a jelly bean or tootsie roll from the potty bag and every time he went potty while wearing his underwear he got to put a sticker on the chart (He needed an incentive to wear the underwear. He was quite weary of them). I think next time I will make the process simpler so it doesn't wear us both out so quick. ;)

Valentine's Day!
(in the background you can see the flowers joe got me)

We made pink silly putty/slime. (Love pinterest!)We also had Strawberry pancakes and eggs and delivered valentines to Jace's friends in the ward and made cookies as a treat for after dinner. It was actually quite a fun and relaxing day. Unlike christmas, it didn't ware me out. And Jace loved it! Cienna slept through most of it because she wasn't feeling good (maybe that's why it was so relaxing! One less kid ;)

This picture wasn't acted. Jace was extra loving that day. No joke. I told him that Valentine's day is a day we show each other we love each other. So he told us all day long "I love you" and "Happy Valentine's day!" and we got lots of hugs.

Our little Valentines :) (Shirts say "daddy's sweetheart", "My mommy loves me")
Cienna only has enough hair in front to hold a clip. haha. She looked like Minnie Mouse.

Cienna 5 Month Pictures
( she will be 6 months in a couple of days so there will be a more recent up date of her soon)
